      In the historic center of Bayonne, Les Couteliers Basques offers a wide range of folding and table knives handcrafted in their workshop in Bidart.

      Cutlers for over 35 years, they share their love of the Basque Country, its terroir, and its traditions through the shapes of their knives. The company also offers items from other carefully selected brands: Opinel, Thiers, Sabatier, Douk Douk, Laguiole, Gentleman Barbier, Leatherman, Dovo, Wusthöf, Kasumi, Victorinox Swiss Army Knives, Cole & Mason, and more.

      A veritable treasure trove of original gift ideas for a wedding, birthday, or other special occasion. Customization is available on-site.

      Schedules:

      Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

    We couldn't resist... firstly because the selection is vast, from the most classic knives to the most original, and in all price ranges. The shopkeeper shares his advice and anecdotes with a warm smile. Knife sharpening is available for free, plus the expertise is there too! This little shop is a real gem!

    I bought a knife from the Basque cutlers a few years ago and I am very happy with it, the seller gave very good advice, whether for a gift for a loved one, or for oneself, I highly recommend it.

    What a wonderful moment of discovery and sharing! A refined shop, artisanal expertise honed over nearly 40 years, a salesperson passionate about their craft—my wife and I have now returned to Brittany with two magnificent knives that are now part of our daily meals. A must-see!
