The Corniche d'Hendaye is reputed to be the most preserved corniche on the Basque coast. At the foot of the Pyrenees, the steep cliffs plunge into the sea. They are dotted with coves, with beautiful sandy beaches. Meadows are perched on top of the cliffs. They are battered by ocean winds and shelter a very exotic heathland vegetation.
