BODEGA K5 is a winemaking project with soul, born in 2005 by Karlos Arguiñano and his friends, with the intention of producing a gastronomic Txakoli and leaving deep roots, which now receives the impetus of a second generation of young women.
Working exclusively with the local Hondarrabi Zuri variety, from our own vineyard (15 hectares in Aia ) and with different aging times on lees, is one of our distinctive and defining characteristics.
The Hondarrabi Zuri variety, a white grape with great acidity and freshness, develops in a special way thanks to our granitic soil with slate schists and our Atlantic climate, giving the wines very elegant mineral touches.
One of our main objectives is to achieve a sustainable farm, respecting the local fauna and flora, letting nature itself enrich us.
Our dream is to transform the landscape into liquid and let time do the rest of the work.
Aging on its own lees allows us to produce complex white wines that evolve exceptionally in the bottle.
