The Cave of Irouleguy Cooperative winegrowers in the Basque Country since 1952

In the heart of the green landscapes of the Basque Country, the Cave d'Irouleguy is an exceptional place where history, traditions and know-how combine around a unique product: Irouléguy wine.

Created in 1952 by nine passionate winegrowers, the Cave d'Irouleguy is the only cooperative of the AOC Irouléguy. Today, it remains a key player, while being one of the smallest wine cooperatives in France . Its cooperative model is based on strong solidarity between winegrowers and employees, united to produce the most authentic wines of this exceptional region.

The vineyard of the Cave d'Irouleguy extends over the slopes of the Basque mountains, where the grapes are harvested manually, in accordance with tradition. The wines produced from this land are characterized by their freshness, finesse and a rich aromatic palette, typical of vines grown at altitude. Whether organic or without sulfites, the wines of the Cave reflect the passionate work of the winegrowers. The variety of grape varieties gives each vintage a unique character, offering an exceptional sensory experience.

The Cave d'Irouleguy also offers an interactive and free tour, complemented by a modern shop. You will discover the secrets of winemaking, from grape to bottle. Immersive videos, a sensory game and a view of the cellar will allow you to better understand the work of the winegrowers. Younger visitors can also enjoy a space dedicated to drawing and a circuit within their reach.
