- In Basque pelota, the Chistera is a curved wicker glove. In Saint-Jean-de-Luz, there are two restaurants on the corner of Boulevard Victor-Hugo, next to Les Halles. Two high places of conviviality which, even if they face each other (at numbers 17 and 23), belong to the same house. The Chistera offers a bistronomic approach for tasty meals while the Xistera focuses more on an authentic atmosphere of a pintxos bar, with a shellfish corner. What brings them together ? The sharing of refined cuisine and the Luzian soul carried by a dynamic team, Pretty decor and vast terraces complete the happiness.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. The service was friendly. I will definitely return.

The food was good. The risotto was a bit small for the price (€21) but tasty. The beef was undoubtedly delicious. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think they're understaffed. The wait time is very long, and seeing the waiters running around between the two locations is a bit overwhelming.

A warm and charming place, reminiscent of Bayonne. The staff is very young and provides fast service.
