Almost 200 years of expertise

ETS. LAPURDI works closely with Distillerie Acha, founded in 1831 in Amurrio, Araba.

With almost two centuries of history and five generations of family expertise, the distillery has exceptional experience in spirit production. It is considered one of the oldest active companies in the Basque Country and the oldest family-owned company in Spain.

This expertise allows ETS. LAPURDI to build on traditional know-how while developing recipes that suit today's tastes and expectations.

ETS. LAPURDI Aged Rum

ETS. LAPURDI Aged Rum is a blended molasses rum from the Caribbean, combining rums from Nicaragua, Barbados and Trinidad.

Aged for 3 years, it is then matured in Iberian and French oak barrels in Araba, creating a link between the Caribbean origins of the rum and Basque expertise.

On the nose, it reveals notes of chilli, cinnamon and coffee, accompanied by aromas of cocoa and smoked vanilla. On the palate, it offers a naturally sweet and silky attack, followed by an intense, spicy finish.

ETS. LAPURDI Basque Single Malt Whisky

ETS. LAPURDI Single Malt Whisky is a whisky produced in the Basque Country, made from malt and aged for 3 years. It is then matured in Navarre oak barrels, giving it a distinctive character and a strong connection to its local surroundings.

Its intense amber colour leads to a nose marked by vanilla, cereal and bread, with citrus, herbal and spicy notes.

On the palate, this Basque single malt whisky offers a fresh and malty attack, soft and elegant, with smoky and heather notes adding complexity to the tasting.

ETS. LAPURDI London Dry Gin

ETS. LAPURDI London Dry Gin is an aromatic gin distilled using 10 natural botanicals: juniper, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, peppermint, lemon and orange zest, thyme, angelica and red grapefruit.

Juniper remains at the heart of the tasting, accompanied by delicate citrus, herbal, spicy and fruity notes.

A balanced and aromatic Basque gin, equally enjoyable neat or as the base for creative gin cocktails.

Menda: Basque mint liqueur

Menda, meaning "mint" in Euskara, is a refreshing and delicately spiced mint liqueur.

Its peppermint aromas give it a fresh, vegetal character, with a lightly sweet palate and a long minty finish.

Enjoy it chilled or use it in cocktails for an original twist on the ETS. LAPURDI range.

Patxaran: an iconic Basque liqueur

It is impossible to talk about Basque spirits without mentioning Patxaran.

Originally from Navarre, Patxaran is a liqueur made from sloe berries macerated in a triple-distilled spirit. ETS. LAPURDI offers its own interpretation of this iconic Basque drink.

Fruity and indulgent on the palate, with stewed sloe notes and an aniseed and woody nose, ETS. LAPURDI Patxaran is traditionally served well chilled, as a digestif or during a convivial occasion.

Basque spirits to enjoy in a different way

The brand has worked with the Biarritz hospitality school to create several cocktails featuring its products, including the Itxassou with rum, the Ezti Sky with whisky and the Smoke Kiwi with gin.
