The coffee shops of the Basque coast

We reach the coast, in Biarritz, to go back in time and relive the golden age of the first sea baths... The Cosmopolitain Hotel is an emblematic place of this famous seaside resort. Its chic and retro decoration you into the heart of the 19 ^th century - early 20 ^{th century,} at a time when the resort towns flourished and the first tourists flocked to enjoy those hard-earned vacation. Radical change of universe at Milwaukee café. Here, you enter a real " American coffee shop ". Pancakes, banoffees, brunches, burgers and nuggets… the menu is American with some French concessions! The choice of cafes is classic but nice. You are literally transported to the USA and it is this change of scenery that deserves the detour.

In Bidart, we return to the authentic Basque Country, although... Koskenia is indeed an inn, with its café, bar and traditional restaurant. The coffee shops of the interior Basque Country

In Hasparren, the Liliren Etxean tea room, Chez Lili, offers artisan and local teas, coffees and cakes. It is in a refined setting that you can taste the sweets and pastries, which are also on sale in the shop.
