A little history to explain the origin of the Arcades!
Until the 17th century, the city of Bayonne was crisscrossed by water and our street, rue Port Neuf, was a canal, which explains its current name.
The ground floors were uninhabited at the time as they were underwater, which explains the arcades which are in fact stilts.
Our restaurant is located in the heart of the historic city center between the town hall and the Sainte-Marie de Bayonne cathedral, under the famous arcades of rue Port Neuf.
We offer market cuisine based on fresh, local and seasonal products (AXURIA beef, house ham, AOP sheep, vegetables from producers in the Basque Country, etc.) as well as classic dishes of Basque gastronomy (xipirons in parsley, axoa, stuffed piquillo peppers, etc.).
In the evening we offer a wide variety of pintxos, tapas and casseroles which are accompanied every Friday evening by a concert !
