Located in the heart of the BASQUE COUNTRY, very close to the village of SAINT-JEAN-PIED-DE-PORT, the farm "POUTZIA" has been exploited from father to son for several generations.
It was in 1966 that Pierre GASTELLOU took over the farm, working mainly in the breeding of beef cows with the "Blonde d'Aquitaine" breed. Five years later, he opened his first point of sale in SAINT-JEAN-PIED-DE-PORT under the name of "BOUCHERIE CHARCUTERIE BASQUAISE" who could thus directly market the products from his farm.
Since then, the company, which has 4 shops and a small salting cannery, has been taken over by his sons Alain and J-Pierre GASTELLOU.
Today, the "MAISON GASTELLOU" takes another step by offering you its artisanal specialties in its online store
