  Third visit to Pottolo... and still the same pleasure. It's the kind of place that reminds you why you love real food. From the moment you arrive, the tone is set: a passionate owner, an exceptionally kind waiter, and a warm welcome that immediately makes you feel like you're being received by friends. The menu is a deliberate choice: 3 starters, 3 main courses, 3 desserts. Not an endless list, but a short, thoughtful, and perfectly executed selection. This approach proves that here, quality takes precedence over quantity, and it shows in every generously portioned dish. The ingredients are sourced locally, the cooking is impeccable, and the flavors are precise and balanced. You can feel the love for the craft, the respect for the producers, and the exacting standards of a true artisan chef. And I say this without hesitation: some Michelin-starred restaurants don't offer this level of quality, sincerity, and emotion. Pottolo has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of in the comparison. Here, there's no pretension, simply exceptional cuisine served with humility and passion. At a time when many establishments strive to amass a vast array of credentials, Pottolo chooses the essential and the excellent. That's rare enough to deserve recognition. Thank you to the owner and his new waiter (who knows the preparation of the dishes and the wines on the menu inside and out!) for these wonderful moments. We will return with immense pleasure... very, very soon! A must-visit in Bayonne.

  A wonderful discovery. Cuisine featuring fresh, local ingredients. Everything was delicious, from the amuse-bouche to the petit four. Thank you to the chef for adapting the menu, as my husband is diabetic. Attentive staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.
