In 2004, Christophe LAUDUIQUE found his current workshop in Anglet which gave him the location and space to group together his “folding” knife collection and museum together with his manufacturing workshop. This local is open to visitors from Wednesday to Saturday included.
The main vocation here is to promote and reproduce the traditional Basque shepherds knives. They possess a specific characteristic whereby the blade rotates on one pin and is blocked, when open, by a second one. This, in French, is called “ Le Couteau à DEUX clous”.This technique goes back as far as the 12th. Century and is specific to the Pyrénées regions, and also Corsica, for the production of traditional shepherds’ folding knives.
Open Tuesday to Saturday inclusive from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm all year round !
