      A drink of character with incomparable qualities with its pronounced aromas of fresh apples, Sagardoa, "apple wine" Kupela pays homage to the history and gastronomy of the Basque Country

      An unchanged method


      To develop his Sagardoa, Kupela called on

      Agustín Etxeberria, master cider maker in Astigarraga, the mecca of Basque cider. With him, they have developed their own range, breathing new life into the Basque elixir without ever betraying tradition.

      The slow natural fermentation of apple must transforms sugars into alcohol, Agustín 's know-how giving rise to fresh, low-alcohol drinks preserving the naturally tangy aromas of Basque apples.

      A bit of history


      Kupela pays homage to the Basque sailors who took on board barrels of cider, rich in vitamin C to fight against scurvy. Its acidity, lightness and fruitiness go perfectly with the Basque gastronomy so popular with modern epicureans.

      The Products


      Sagardoa / Organic apple wine:

      Sagardoa Kupela combines the character and mouthfeel of traditional Basque apple wine with the tangy sweetness of fresh apple. Although it is not sparkling, it nevertheless offers a slight natural sparkle that reinforces the sensation of freshness and pleasure. To be reserved for savory dishes, at the table or as an aperitif. Now produced organically .

      SAGARDOA should be enjoyed chilled, between 9° and 11°.

      Semi-dry cider:
      The semi-dry cider is a modernized version of the Basque cider, sweet but not very sweet, which allows itself a little sparkle, like its Norman cousins. It remains very fine and elegant in the mouth, preserving the flavor of the fruit, in a clear color that brightens the taste buds. The idea is to have a cider that respects the typicality of what is made in the Basque Country while seducing lovers of sweet ciders.

      Semi-dry cider is to be enjoyed at 8°, very cold, as an aperitif or to accompany pancakes or desserts.
