Pirate Cannerie Eco-responsible and local micro-cannery near Urt

Pirate is a micro-cannery created two years ago. All the fish comes from the Saint-Jean-de-Luz fish market in the Basque Country and from a few fishermen directly. Pirate transforms everything by hand on an old duck farm in Saint Laurent de Gosse in the Landes. This cannery was born with the aim of promoting the resource through modern and tasty recipes, but also with an ecological and meaningful aim, by avoiding food waste. Pirate Cannerie only works with seasonal fish. It also promotes social integration by using an ESAT for the packaging of its boxes. The adventure also has an educational goal via social networks to raise awareness among the general public about the issues of fishing and more sustainable consumption. This modern cannery uses for each of its products, a smoked/braised range and a more cooked range. You can find tuna, octopus, trout and mackerel in all its forms. Pirate isn't just about canned goods; it's about generous whole fillets of fish to accompany or create original and delicious dishes.
