Etxe Peio Authenticity and quality for your taste buds in Bayonne

Our brand, established in the heart of the Basque Country, offers a wide range of Basque, Iberian and South-West products. We are proud to announce that our new installation of a dryer in 2021 has allowed us to now offer you a new range of Basque cold meats, all prepared and dried in Espelette. In addition to this, we collaborate with passionate local producers to complete our selection and offer our customers authentic and quality products.

The vast majority of our charcuterie comes from our dryer, which we had built at the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. There we prepare sausages, chorizos, dried lomos and even filet mignons with all the knowledge of our team. All our cured meats are carefully prepared, dried, and checked to satisfy charcuterie lovers.

Ham nevertheless remains one of the main products in our stores. Featured in our ham cellars or suspended from the architecture of our stores, they largely represent the Etxe Peio brand.

Our wish is to present to our customers high quality products from Basque culture. Thus, although Iberian ham is not produced in the Basque Country, it nonetheless remains a typical product that can be found in the vast majority of tapas bars on the other side of the border. We therefore offer the famous and genuine Pata Negra de Bellota, a very high-end ham, 100% Iberian pork and fed with oak acorns giving a melting ham with a unique character. Just as tasty, with a slightly less pronounced taste, Bellota ham comes from at least 50% black pigs and just like Pata Negra de Bellota, it is mainly fed on acorns, hence its name.

Finally, we offer an exceptional PGI Bayonne ham, which you can of course taste, just like a large majority of products in our stores.
