A True Sagardo Experience

Come and enjoy a friendly experience around sagardo, the Basque cider, literally "apple wine."
At the heart of tradition: the Txotx ritual. When the call is made, you rise to taste the cider straight from the barrel.
Our cidery is equipped with 4 stainless steel vats and 2 wooden vats, allowing us to offer several sagardo varieties, including apples from the orchards of Astigarraga.
Here, cider is shared, discussed, and enjoyed around large tables in a warm and authentic atmosphere.

About Kupela

Founded in 2015, Kupela is a Basque brand committed to cider, sagardo, and apple juice. True to its convivial and authentic spirit, it relies on local know-how and high-quality products. In April 2023, Kupela took a new step by opening Kupela Sagardotegia, its cidery in Bayonne. This unique venue allows visitors to discover sagardo, immersing them in the warm and festive atmosphere of traditional sagardotegi, while enjoying a modern and comfortable setting.

Available Tuesday to Friday for lunch, as well as Friday evening, Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch.
