Come and enjoy a friendly experience around sagardo, the Basque cider, literally "apple wine".

At the heart of the tradition: the Txotx ritual. When called, you get up to taste the cider directly from the barrel.

Our cider house is equipped with 4 stainless steel vats and 2 wooden vats, allowing us to offer several sagardo made from different varieties of apples, notably from the orchards of Astigarraga.

Here, cider is shared, discussed, and brought together around large tables in a warm and authentic atmosphere.

Founded in 2015, Kupela is a committed Basque brand of cider, sagardo (a type of cider), and apple juice. True to its friendly and authentic spirit, it relies on local expertise and high-quality products. In April 2023, Kupela took a new step by opening Kupela Sagardotegia, its cider house in Bayonne. This unique venue allows visitors to discover sagardo, immersing them in the warm and festive atmosphere of traditional sagardotegi (cider houses), while enjoying a modern and comfortable setting.
