    • The Zirtzil brewery was born in 2021 in Anglet. It is an independent microbrewery where we produce craft and organic beers. Thus, you can taste blonde, white, amber, IPA, DiPA, session IPA and NEIP beers.

You can find the different beers at Spar place Lamothe in Anglet, Dinguette du Méharin in Anglet, Cap's in Biarritz, Elika in Espelette, Koskeinia in Bidart, Olakoop in Saint Jean de Luz, the organic grocer in Bayonne, Angelu Pizza in Anglet, golf d'arcangues ... Several restaurants also distribute their beers throughout the Basque Country and South Landes. Their beers are distributed at Glisseguna, Festilasai and Lurrama ... Rental of taps with 30 liter barrels: consult them.

Do you actually know the definition of Zirtzil?

Since the 2000s, villages in the Basque Country have been reclaiming previously forgotten festive traditions.

Thus, Santibate and Libertimendua are two carnival celebrations in Lower Navarre and Labourd (two Basque provinces). The first celebrates winter, while the second announces the arrival of spring.

Libertimendua is a daytime celebration of dance and pamphleteering theatre.

Santibate is, for its part, a nocturnal procession of characters, called zirtzil, masked or made up, wearing torn and disheveled clothes. Rather frightening, they dance and sing along their route through the streets, knocking on the doors of houses and bars. They are accompanied by improvising poets and musicians.

In the Basque Country, it's well known that we party all year round and we love legends and wacky characters !
